Add molybdenum trioxide to the reactor, and add water according to the ratio of molybdenum trioxide: water (mass) 1: 10, stir well and then add 85% Phosphoric acid (molybdenum trioxide-phosphoric acid molar ratio of 12:1), boiling for 3H to carry out the reaction, before the reaction, the solution is milky white, the initial reaction is golden yellow, and the latter is green. During the reaction, the reaction solution should be kept stable boiling and water should be added to maintain the liquid level. In the later stage of the reaction, the pH value should be controlled at about 10. After vacuum suction filtration, filter residue and filtrate should be removed, 30% hydrogen peroxide should be added dropwise, the solution was switched from green to yellow. The solution was then concentrated by evaporation until the temperature of the solution was 105 °c. The solution was slowly cooled, crystallized and prepared by centrifugation.

Phosphomolybdic acid (phosphomolybdic acid), also known as dodecadolybdic acid, or PMA for short, is a yellow-green inorganic compound. It is a heteropoly acid. Phosphomolybdic acid is soluble in water and polar organic solvents (such as ethanol). Phosphomolybdate hydrate is a yellow solid, which contains 28 water molecules. Phosphomolybdic acid is a high-efficiency oxidant and has fast multi-electron reversible redox characteristics under mild conditions. Therefore, it has become an important catalyst and is widely used in organic synthesis, organic oxidation process, corrosion inhibitor and non-carbon fuel cell.
Use as analytical reagent
The application structure not only has the characteristics of complexes and metal oxides, but also has acidity and redox properties, as well as the secondary structure of crystal water.
